Did you find the trail name of the placer on the box? Was there a note in
it saying this is a letterbox etc....

started by finding one by accident in a tree recently. I was wondering
if anyone might know the owner of the "WALK" letterbox in PArma, ohio.
We are the only ones who have stamped it and I can't find it listed
anywhere.

Hi,
No trail name on the box & no note except the placemant date July 7 , 2006. Just the stamp and empty log book and the info sheet about letterboxing.

Just a few possibilities:

1. The clues just might not be publicly posted yet. Believe it or not,
there are some placers that place a box and then don't get time to write out
the clues and get them posted for a few months. Sometimes life just gets in
the way, gets in the middle of things. :-)

2. It could be planned as a word-of-mouth box and the word-of-mouth clues
haven't been given out or spread yet;

3. It could have clues placed on a private website and the clues haven't
been discovered yet by anyone who's had time to go searching yet.

July 7th wasn't really all that long ago. It's not like it's been sitting
there unfound for a year or anything. I had one set of clues on my website
that was there for something like 6 months before the first finder came
along. And I haven't had time to head out and see if either of the two
"Reverence" boxes have been found yet.

Yea,
I thought that maybe the placer was waiting for something to release the clues or that he left town...:)

Willingly or tarred & feathered? Was it a store-bought stamp? :-)

Ahhhhhhhh, but died *how*???

Maybe it's not just a mystery box -- maybe it's a CSI box. The new season will be beginning soon.
